About the Role
Duties
• Support Teacher when working in the classroom as a Teacher Assistant. If working as a Floater, the individual works with both Teachers and Teacher Assistants.
• Implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes childhood development and learning.
• Provide attentive care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
• Manage classroom activities, maintaining an organized and positive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with students who have disabilities, including autism, to support their individual learning needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Foster social skills through group activities, encouraging interaction among students.
• Observe and assess children's development, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to meet diverse learning styles.
• Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Complete classroom paperwork as assigned by supervisor.
Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Requirements
Experience working with students in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
Knowledge of curriculum development tailored for early childhood education.
Strong classroom management skills to create an effective learning atmosphere.
Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, and colleagues.
Understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
High School Diploma required.
Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification required within two years of employment.
A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
