EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:

The Executive Director assists the Agency to act as a catalyst to improve the quality of life of the entire community by developing relationships that allow all citizens to help themselves and each other. This position shall be the principal administrative officer of the corporation. He/she is responsible for the total administration of the Agency and is directly responsible to the Board of Directors. This position is classified as exempt under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The duties and responsibilities of the Executive Director may be modified at any time by the Board. The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job, but does not limit their activities to the specific duties outlined below.

Qualifications:  Four year degree in Social Science, Public Administration, Business Administration or related fields with Master’s Degree preferred.  Must demonstrate multi-cultural understanding and sensitivity to the needs of the disadvantaged.   Must have a strong background in community organization and coordination. Must have demonstrated program development and management capabilities sufficient for a staff of 15-60 persons. EOE.

 

FINANCE OFFICER:

The Director of Finance & Human Resources assists the Agency “to act as a trusted resource of integrated services and community partnerships that promotes self-sufficiency for individuals and families in targeted communities”. This position oversees all agency efforts that support the management and coordination of agency’s financial activities to fund operations, maximize investments or increase efficiency programs/services, especially Finance record-keeping. This position is supervised by the Executive Director and classified as exempt under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job, but does not limit their activities to the specific duties outlined.

Qualifications:  BS in Business Administration/Accounting. Four years or more experience of proven ability. Successful performance as a manager/supervisor. Experience with computerized accounting and data entry. Demonstrate strong communication skills. Experience with governmental accounting preferred. Must have valid VA driver’s license. Employment is subject to a satisfactory pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
